Quiet│Roar Fiction Reading Event:

Quiet│Roar is the fictional story of Amara, a sixteen-year-old girl who finds a three-story tall conch shell has invaded downtown Los Angeles. Angry residents feel certain the shell is a hoax, a flashy political statement, or some terrorist plot to gunk up traffic on Olympic boulevard.

But as Amara discovers more she feels there is something or someone like her, who has also experienced hate and loss but wants to escape it, who is stuck inside the shell.

In a world where people have become more and more isolated, Quiet│Roar explores what can be gained by fighting for human connection.
