Christina Re Anderson
Christina is a prolific writer and performer. She writes magical realism, comedy, and queer fiction. However, if a great story catches her imagination that doesn’t fit into those conventional themes, she’ll still give it a go.
Christina graduated from Weber State University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing. While at Weber State, Christina joined the Metaphor Undergraduate Literary Journal Staff as the Social Media Editor, and then spent a second year on the staff as the Assistant Editor-in-Chief.
In 2016, Christina was selected for the Writers Guild Foundation Veteran’s Writing Project. This competitive, intensive program connects screenwriters who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces with industry greats who mentor small groups for a year. As an alumna, Christina joined forces with other comedy screenwriters to form the sketch comedy troupe, Vets with Benefits. This troupe is mentored by Peabody Award-Winning comedy writer Rich Talarico, and performs charity shows to raise funds for future WGF Veteran’s Writing Project participants.
Christina also founded the Wasatch Writers Fellowship (WWF), a volunteer-led organization with a mission: To help fiction and nonfiction writers work together realize their individual writing goals, from first draft to publication. She led the organization for over 10 years until she relocated from Utah to Washington State. During that time, the WWF gained over one thousand participating members. Christina and her leadership team also organized writing events, conferences, and writing retreats.
In March 2025, Christina retired after more than 20 years serving in the United States Air Force.
